Things Teachers Need to Stop Doing to Students1. Assume teenage students are adults: I suppose many teens are tired of every other grown-up, not just teachers, telling them that they are no longer children and that means they're automatically in the same age group as them and are supposed to behave like them and think like them. Guess what, teenagers are teenagers, we have hormones, our brains haven't fully developed, we are still discovering ourselves.Things Teachers Need to Stop Doing to Students by sutoroberikurimu
2. Shame/belittle/insult students: Why does the society teach us that "students have to respect teachers" and not "teachers also have to respect students"? Everybody deserves respect. Doing the things above have never been respectful behavior. If anything, it destroys motivation and jeopardizes teacher-student relationship. I think I'm pretty much gonna go on a rant about this, but I'll save it for later.
3. Think they automatically deserve respect because they're teachers: As I said above, everybody deserves respect but only if they can prove it.
Propaganda and Soviet poniesIt has come to my and ZexyZakura's attention that people have been ponyfying propaganda posters from WW2. It has also come to my attention that there is A WHOLE GOD DAMN GROUP dedicated to Soviet my little pony. :iconSovietEquestria:. And then, there's a whole group dedicated to WW2 MLP. :iconWorldwarII-Equestria:. Alright, this is more wrong then then a fiesta in the trenches. Let us first start by looking at some images.Propaganda and Soviet ponies by Bubbles1300
Oh, look. Japanese empire Pony propaganda. How lovely. Do you have any idea about the Japanese empire?! This was an extremely dark time for South East Asia and the Chinese. Vietnam, Laos, Burma, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia and China were all heavily oppressed by the Japanese. Innocent Chinese civilians living in the following Countries were raped and killed just for being Chinese. That's how much the Japanese hate the Chinese. But that's totally cool. Go ahead and ponyfy one of their posters. The Japanese
My CynicismI don't consider myself a cynic, that is like stating that I support certain form of philosophy as an absolute truth. But I am without a doubt cynical. My Cynicism by Catwithoutatail
I have read lots of opinions about cynicism and there seems to be a certain patronizing attitude towards cynical people, as if cynicism is always a result of not being objective and lack of wisdom and so on.
Maybe in some cases it is so but I find the idea that cynicism would always be a result of that insulting and arrogant.
It is also said cynicism is a result of being hurt, well from my part I can say it is truth though I wouldn't assume it is always the case.
Another statement about cynicism is that it is a result of excessively high expectations about life and things in it being crushed. Well I'm not sure if the expectations always have to be excessively high but there is some truth in it.
I haven't been directly targeted by violence as an LGBT person but it does make me think when I remember that in many places of the world LGBT p
2014 - My Year in BooksFor the past few years I've set myself a reading challenge which I've found both enjoyable and motivating. In 2014, I'm pleased to say I have read 70 books, exceeding my initial goal of 60. I would here like to share with you some of the highlights. You can see them all here.2014 - My Year in Books by AmericanDreaming
"Pure Drivel" by Steve Martin. I love highbrow humor. Nothing makes me feel superior like laughing at a Schrodinger's Cat joke.
"Last Words" by George Carlin. Carlin's autobiography, great reading.
"The Ramayana" by Valmiki. I've been trying to read more mythology and ancient literature from other cultures, and I found this epic Hindu tale really enjoyable. It may be 2,500 years old, but it doesn't read a day over 500, trust me.
"The Art of War" by Sun Tzu. A interesting exploration of strategy, military or o
Update and another CountdownHere's the update: My voice is back however its really sore still. I'm not sure how long it will last. The doctor said it can be allergies since I haven't changed my carpet in 20 years or it could be emotional trauma or stress that I am unaware about. He wanted me to go to vocal therapy (and believe me its so hard to find) and mom also sugguested hypnotherapy to find out what could be the stress I am under.Update and another Countdown by Chibifangirl01
So thats it for the update, I wanted to make another countdown and this one is deviantart related and that is...

11) One Trick Ponies...literally Sometimes I'll see forum post saying they will draw ANYTHING. So I go and make them an offer. Then they say, "sorry I only draw ponies" or "sorry I only draw animals." I'm sure there is a good explination for it but its usually never given. I mean yeah I can't draw animals and only draw humans but if I ha

Thank You, FeministsThank you, feminists, for making men scared to commit and raising divorce rates along with having divorce favoring women:Thank You, Feminists by darkavengence
One by One Men Are catching On
Where did all the good men gone?
Thank you, feminists (specifically Anita Sarkeensian), for complaining about female roles in videos games, especially the damsel in distress, that really didn't bothered anyone, EXCEPT for feminists who think men was secretly oppressing them by using the fun little technology called video games. Also thank you for failing to realize that there's already serious females characters like Anya (Gears Of Wars), Bernadette (Gears of Wars), Samantha (Gears of Wars), Sonia (Resident Evil), Lara Croft(Tomb Raider) and so many others. Oh and thank you Anita for lying in the name of feminism--->
Feminism Is Suppressing MenUltimate proof that feminism is making it's way into suppressing men just for being born a male!Feminism Is Suppressing Men by darkavengence
You have no idea how shocking and alarming this is! All this is happening all over stereotypes and lies of feminists. I had a feeling modern feminism was literally going to get close to doing something like this. I urge you to spread the word of this and speak up and stand against feminism. You can start by stop believing that feminism is equality because in this day and time it isn't anymore. Feminists are starting war with men just for being born men. Feminism needs to come to an end and not only do I know it, but so do a lot of other people including females like me in America!
EDIT: Oh look! Another video that proves how feminism wronged both genders!
Endless cycle of the internet debate on feminism If you have looked at social media like twitter this past few days a few things that might pop up are the bloke named Elliot Rodger and the tag #YesAllWomen. This of course resulted in men and women on the internet lashing out against each other over the matter. Some ‘’feminists’’ started to claim that all men are like Elliot Rodger (which you might think is an exaggeration, however, the opposite is true, these claims are/were out there) and of course some men (and even some women if someone is to believe the social media, but since it is the internet we cannot say for certain if some accounts are just fake accounts) claim that the tag #YesAllWomen is sexist.Endless cycle of the internet debate on feminism by CynicalCoffeeCup
Why is it that men and women cannot see eye to eye on subjects like this? There is a simple reason as to why every time such a thing occurs. Both men and women feel victimised by the other. Some people start to throw oil on the fire by making statements th
